I served from 1942 to 1946 in the Air Force as an
Airplane Bob and Engine Mechanic in Garden City, Kansas.

I played football and baseball in Hackensack High School.

While in the service during the war, I played with major league ballplayers, such as Feller and Walker Cooper.
